Having already worked with our web designers to deliver a total redesign of their website using the content-focused Webflow platform, gaming accessory manufacturer Venom Gaming came to our digital marketers to help raise their brand awareness.
With a fully-fledged eCommerce storefront ready to be bought from, the goal was simple: get as many new customers as possible to visit the site. Fast forward through more Zoom calls, and it was clear they wanted to build their brand’s presence in the community too. They were looking for help growing their fledgling blog - and we happily obliged!
Building a community of gaming enthusiasts is an important part of Venom’s brand ethos. And it was clear it’s blog needed to be the heart and soul of this. However, it also needed to operate in a way that would appeal to its audience, whilst developing Venom’s organic presence in search rankings.
Over time, we’ve pulled together several content strategies and calendars for content that educates and entertains readers relating to the gaming industry, as well as in-depth, SEO-friendly product guides for internal link building and featured snippet opportunities. We run weekly and monthly crawls, fixing any errors and addressing any warnings such as duplicate or missing meta descriptions and correcting 404’s to keep the site health in top shape.
With long-term strategies in place, we also chose to create a PPC campaign which targets in-market searchers with display ads capturing flagship products like their twin docking stations in attention-grabbing graphics.
Since we started working with them in September 2021, they’ve had 160,356 new users visit the site across 201,755 sessions. They’ve visited 565,080 pages for an average session duration of 1 minute and 51 seconds.
Our long-term Google Ads campaign has proven successful with33.72% of all traffic coming from paid search, whilst our SEO approach is just as positive with 31.64% coming as a result of organic search. This means that the majority of our work, PPC and SEO, has resulted in 65.36% of all users visiting the site.
A massive thank you to the wonderful team over at Star Digital for making this happen. As well as a new beautiful, seamless design and structure - our website is now e-commerce for the first time ever.
